I warmly welcome you to this website, a platform for information sharing and dissemination of Masaka District Local government. Masaka as any other District is established under the mandate from the constitution of the Republic of Uganda and the Local Government Act (Cap 243).
Website for Public Information and Inclusivity.
In a bid for modern and digital transformation as it is anchored in the Uganda Vision 2040. It was conceptualized to strengthen the fundamentals of the economy by harnessing the abundant opportunities around the country like ICT business, abundant labor force, geographical location, etc. It is on this background that we discovered there is a desire to meet the expectations of the people whom we serve as Masaka District Local government. Therefore the District established this website as a platform for public information and inclusivity.
The website is designed in fulfillment of the mandate of the District to offer information services to the populace through information sharing and educating the masses through awareness creation on government programs.
As provided for under the Access to Information Act 2005 this website will share information as guided by the provisions therein. It will act as a one-stop information center for easy data access, sharing, updates, and feedback about service delivery in the District.
This website will provide the public with relevant information on the various Departmental activities, and act as an E-Library where reports and other publications will be shared.

Also, in a bid to adhere to our Vision and Mission, I implore all readers to freely share with us their opinions and suggestions for the purpose of enhancing and developing our District together. I appreciate the queries, feedback, and pledge and we shall be committed to providing immediate response to the raised inquiries from you our audience.
